Fewer people stayed covered
About 450,000 fewer Floridians paid for Marketplace coverage in 2026 than in 2025.

Your options, compared side by side
We don't push one company. We show you what fits your budget, your doctors and your health, then you choose.
Marketplace (ACA) plans
Comprehensive coverage that can't turn you down for health reasons. Best if you qualify for a subsidy or need ongoing care.
Private plans
Short-term medical and fixed indemnity plans can cost less for healthy households above subsidy levels. They are not ACA plans and may exclude pre-existing conditions.
Health sharing and add-ons
Health sharing programs, dental, vision and accident coverage. Health sharing is not insurance. We explain exactly how each one works.
Common questions
When is Open Enrollment for 2027 coverage?
It runs November 1, 2026 to January 15, 2027 on HealthCare.gov. Enroll by December 15 for coverage starting January 1, or by January 15 for coverage starting February 1.
Why did my premium go up so much?
The extra federal premium tax credits ended, so many people now pay more of the premium themselves. Florida's average 2027 premiums also rose about 10.4% before subsidies. Regular subsidies still exist for people who qualify.
Is the Marketplace my only option?
No. Depending on your income, age, health and state, a private plan or a health sharing program may cost less. We compare all of them side by side so you can choose.
Does it cost anything to talk to you?
No. Our help is free. Agents are generally paid by the insurance companies, not by you.
What if I miss the deadline?
After January 15 you usually need a qualifying life event, like losing other coverage, moving or having a baby, to enroll in a Marketplace plan. Some private plans can be applied for year-round. Call us and we'll tell you what's still open.
